Exercising the Right of Annual Paid Leave For Workers Due To Coronavirus

It is an informative article about the employer’s annual paid leave for their workers due to Coronavirus.

In order to prevent coronavirus from becoming an epidemic all over the world, employers will be able to make their workers use the annual paid leave they have earned.

To briefly explain the process of obtaining and using annual paid leave;

53 of the Labor Law No. 4857. According to the article, workers who have worked for at least one year, including a probationary period, are entitled to annual paid leave from the day they start work in the workplace according to the 6 Of The Annual Paid Leave Ordinance. According to the article, annual paid leave cannot be divided by the employer. This permission must be granted continuously by the employer within the periods indicated in Article 53 of the Labor Law No. 4857. However, the periods of leave provided for in Article 53 can be used in sections, some of which are not less than ten days, by agreement of the parties.

Required Annual Paid Leave Regulation 8. According to the article and according to the Supreme Court applications, the employer is not bound by the date of use of the permit requested by the worker.
