Making Compensatory Work Instead Of Non-Working Time Due To Coronavirus

Koronavirüsü Sebebiyle Çalışılmayan Sürelerin Yerine Telafi Çalışması Yapılması 1

It is an informational article about compensatory work instead of non-working time due to coronavirus.

Some workplaces operating due to coronavirus have halved their work and some workplaces have stopped their work altogether. During the non-working period, the worker received his pay in full.

With the compensation of these non-working periods, the continuity of workplaces in employment will be ensured and additional work will be done to their workers under the name of compensation work.

In this context, 4857 No. 64 of the Labor Law. Compensatory work is explained as follows in the article.

“Mandatory stop work for reasons of national and public holidays or holidays of the workplace both before and after the holiday, or substantially or entirely of normal working hours in the workplace for similar reasons be allowed to work under the worker’s request or in the case of vacation by the employer within two months to compensate for nonworking periods can work. These studies do not count as overwork.

Compensatory work cannot be more than three hours per day, provided that the maximum daily working time is not exceeded. No compensatory work can be done during the holidays.”

At the Coordination Meeting against Coronavirus held together with the presidency and ministries on 18 March 2020, the two-month compensation period included in the law was increased to four months in order to reduce the effects of the Kovid-19 epidemic with a package called The Economic Stability Shield of 19 items. Thus, with the elimination of the Coronavirus outbreak, the compensatory working period that will take place in the workplace is four months.
